so i thought this was funny to see a guy cutting the grass with a big parka, and gloves on while cutting the grass


So ive been in chicago since tuesday night. arriving and stuffing my belly with good chinese food prepared by a distant uncle somehow. They make homemade eggrolls at their restaurant China Chef, the address and info is at the bottom of this post, they are pretty dang awesome. Not many places make homemade eggrolls anymore most are frozen and premade. So thats been great staying with them in chinatown,showering, sleeping in a bed, hearing the train go by, the oddities of chinese family, and the urge to eat.

I've spent most of my time up here with friends who attend Moody Bible Institute, a hometown friend Matt Parker, his gf Ninfa, and another friend Samantha Carroll who just oddly decided a few weeks ago to come up from Ashville, NC to hang out with Ninfa during her fall break. So we've been chilling and eating good food, and drinking some dandy coffee. this is a gyro burger from sammy's gyro burger+fries=3.99 not that bad of a deal. pretty tasty, and plenty greasy. good thing i burn about 6000 calories a day and that i dont live in chicago to be tempted by these.

Tomorrow i leave to go back down to Carbondale,IL and will arrive down there at 9:30pm. it kind of is a bummer that im arriving down there that late at night, but it should make for an interesting story of where i will be sleeping. It's a little tougher to camp outside down there since its a bigger college town. My bike is currently stored down there at an archaeology firm. Hopefully it hasnt become petrified. I am ready to be down there though. Im ready to be home, and to sleep in my bed and bake dark chocolate chip oatmeal cookies maybe with some craisins. i have about 1500 miles left, approximately 4 weeks. My itenerary is pretty relaxed, but i will probably ride more than planned unless the appalachains get the best of me. The days are getting shorter and its getting a little colder so that makes it a little tough, and a little slower start.

im about to purchase my plane ticket to indo, it looks like its going to be around $1300 it should be an awesome charge on my credit card. I think im going to get to fly on Singapore and Silk air ive heard they are really amazing air carriers, which is amazing especially since i think ive gotten the best rate with them
