Interview with Corey Hau

This is my friend Corey Hau.
He is in Seattle, and posted some stuff about the project, and is pretty awesome. you can also listen to an interview on there as well.

Slowly Progressing

We'll im a day behind schedule and i haven't kept up well to things i plan on doing. There's just so much to do and catch up on, on off days. I've updated the website and put up some photos. Ohhhh, the awesome news from the last post is the more than likely possibility that REI is going to sponsor our project and help us in our gearing to go. I'm pretty excited about this.
The past 2 days i've been hanging out in eugene, oregon with some really awesome people and learning about christian community. People from The Church of the Servant King have been very hospitable and taken awesome care of me, which i am very grateful.

The 25th i slept in the backyard of a wonderful household of 8 in monmouth, or. They were an awesome family, and it was great to meet some people with a bunch of kids to hang out with.

The 24th i slept in meriwether - lewis boyscout camp with the Cambodian-American Community of Oregon . This was a great experience of bonding and having fun with some fellow asians that i met by chance. I was stopped at this pull out by some massive sand dunes and Chanly rolls up in his Chrysler Pacifica, and asks if i want him to take a picture of me and my bike. Soon enough he invites me to come hang out with them at the boyscout park and camp and eat and shower and what not. Who could pass up an opportunity like that.

The 23rd i stayed at Nehalem Bay state park. I definately pushed it that day and rode for too long and for some in the dark which was the most terrifying experience. i think i descended a really big hill at around 40 mph with my bike lights on which didnt do too much. It was definately scary as you see on coming cars that turn on their high beams lessening your viewing abilities. and it was cold along the coast. i definatly had some snot running on my lips by the time i got to the bottom. i now have set a rule for no more riding in the dark for the most part.

The 22nd i slept at Puget Island behind Our Saviors Lutheran Church. It was a good place to stop. pretty calm and quiet.

So far my top speed has been at around 50mph. ive had 1 flat, and got some asian pears for 15cents. thats just amazing
