So 2 days a ago, friday 20th i arrived in Berea,Ky after riding about 90 miles. It was a long day. i started a little late around 9:30am and arrived around 6:30pm to the Arts capital of kentucky, and the home of Berea College that operates somewhat like Berry College in Georgia, where most of the students work on campus and greatly reduce the amount it costs to goto school. I wish i could spend more time there, it sounds like im not there, and thats because im not. yesterday saturday my friend who is attending UK in lexington came down and picked me up so i could spend the night and hang out with her and her, and her husband. Thanks april and adam the loft bed was wonderful, and i wish i could have slept longer because it was jst soooo cozy. I had to come up to lexington as well because my phone started to bugg out and is not picking up any signal at all and the nearest verizon store is here in lexington. So we went there yesterday, and i found out that because it moisture damage, and that i would have to get a new phone, and pay full price to keep my old phone contract and rate that doesnt exist anymore. I ended up leaving and decided to purchase a used phone on ebay. I spent $62 dollars on a phone on ebay, and will have to spend another $20 to get it activated when i get it. Hopefully i will recieve my phone in Damascus, VA by wednesday, i miss being able to call folks at night and communicating with yall. well i am going to ride today from Berea to Buckhorn, its about 70 miles and start to enter the 1st of the 2 mtn ranges that make up the Appalachains. I can't wait to get to Damascus. I just like that town, the folks at TVR christian camp know that a slew of us did a 50 mile hike back in the day from Carvers Gap to Damascus. it was adventurous especially waking up at 2am and hiking out in the rain.
i am a day ahead of schedule, i expect to be in Damascus on Wednesday, and possibly take a rest day on thursday in damascus. I hope to have my phone too.
